Living Room
The front door opens onto an open plan living and dining space. With its stunning double-height ceiling and floor-length glass windows and doors, this area is the heart of the villa. .
There is plenty of comfortable seating perfect for an easy conversation or some quiet reading time and two dining areas – one inside and one on the verandah so -go ahead and select your favourite breakfast spot.
Leading from the Living room there is a wide wrap round terrace with cane furniture and steps into the garden and onto the sunbathing terrace. The views over the pools, the lawns and the gardens are magnificent
Bedroom Suites
The Koi Suite – Ground floor
The luxurious Koi Suite is located on the ground floor, just off the dining verandah, with direct access to the wide lawn and a little picnic area under a tree.
The bed is super-king size, and the spacious suite features both an indoor and outdoor seating area, plus a classic book cabinet with a selection of books.
There is a large TV with satellite connection and a DVD player and a collection of movies for a lazy evening indoors.
The huge French windows lead straight to the Koi Pond and waterfall,
There is a large dressing area and bathroom, featuring a super-size bathtub made of Italian marble, and shower area.
The Coral Suite- First floor
The romantic Coral Suite is decorated in shades of deep pinks and reds, with a beautiful draped four-poster bed as the centre piece and a seating area. The large windows have a unique view over the waterfall, the gardens, the sunset and the rice-growing valley below
There is a walk in dressing area with wall-to-wall wardrobes, a large bathroom with an Italian marble bathtub and shower area.
The Sunflower Suite- First Floor
The bright, cheery Sunflower Suite has an optional bed arrangement : either large twin beds or the two beds can be made up to offer a huge,luxurious 2.5 meter (8 feet) bed for a couple.
A large picture glass window looks onto the garden with a local tree where you can watch see, popular with bulbuls. The seating area here is low-set, a place where you will want to curl up with something from the floating bookshelves.
This room also features a large dressing area and a spacious, airy bathroom with a bathtub in Italian marble and a shower area.
Outside
The Pools, Deck and Pavilion
The large (14 x 7 meters, max depth 4.5 feet) infinity swimming pool overlooks the lush gardens of the property and the green fields in the valley below.
The length of the pool allows serious swimmers to do laps and the built-in benches and enclosed shallow end allow even non-swimmers to relax and enjoy being in the water.
The lounging pool next door features benches sunken into the water, and is perfect for an easy chat and great also for non-swimmers.
The broad deck has comfortable ultra large teak loungers with umbrellas and side-tables. Flanked by flaming bougainvillea and scented golden ginger plants, the deck is a great spot to enjoy the view over the pools and fields.
In a quiet corner is the shower and a few steps lead down to the changing room cum washroom.
An airy poolside pavilion supported by antique satinwood pillars gives a bird’s eye view of the fields and green valley. This is also a great spot to watch birds as they dip into the infinity pool for a quick cooling dip or a sip.
Gardens and Grounds
Summertime is located in two-acres of private grounds .Conceptualised by master landscape designer, Shashank Vaidya, the gardens have many interesting features. The greenery starts at the gate and climbs along the road past the pastel-coloured utility cottages, past the fruit orchard, and the ‘mini Nana Nani park’ spills over onto the lawn providing a delightful, shaded walking path which attracts a large number of birds and butterflies-, perfect for a morning stroll to catch the sun. Along the road are various kinds of bamboo including the rare black one and the stately golden bamboo
A range of crops such a bananas, corn,mangoes and tamarind grow in the orchard and the organic garden produces seasonal vegetables and herbs. Many of these will be found on the lunch and dinner menus and guests can expect healthy and tasty produce such as fresh pesto, pakoras of ajwain leaf, butterhead lettuce and kale, the beautiful crimson Rosella drinks and sweet potatoes
There are a number of secluded and comfortable seating areas for you to enjoy the grounds – under trees, on the lawns, even built into the waterfall (where a large stone Buddha statue sits under a drooping frangipani tree and ferns overlap the bubbling stream) and by the fish pond filled with brilliant-coloured Japanese Koi
