The style of the villa is elegant and classical. The imposing columns of the entrance porch face the front gates and give you a hint as to what you will find inside. As you enter the East Wing of the villa the warm golden Jaisalmer marble floor creates an inviting ambience. There is an integrated dining and sitting room designed in an L shape which stretches over 20 metres from the front door.
To the right of the entrance hall is a fully fitted kitchen. Opposite, in the dining area, is a custom made dining table which will seat up to 14.
There are five double sets of french doors, which lead onto a colonnaded covered terrace furnished with small tables and chairs. With all the doors thrown open the rooms flow onto the terrace and the lawned area to the side of the villa where there is a deep tiled lily pond and water feature.
Specially commissioned abstract paintings and sculptures have been hung on the walls and perfectly positioned around the room. There are chandeliers, salon sofas and large coffee tables; this is living on a grand scale.
At the end of the sitting room is an impressive balustraded half-turn staircase up to the first floor. Here the flooring changes from warm earth colours to white Rajasthan marble flooring edged with black to give a clean, cool look. Once again there are pictures everywhere.
The three spacious bedrooms have hand - made king size four-poster beds ensuring that the style is traditional but the comfort levels meet modern standards. The ensuite bathrooms are individually styled and have contemporary fittings. Each bedroom opens onto a shared terrace.
A small cosy sitting area has been created on this floor as a family room where you can relax on the sofa and watch TV or simply enjoy a good book.
The West Wing entrance is either through the french doors from the covered terrace or through a main door from the garden path straight into a sitting room. Again there is much use of honey coloured mellow Rajasthani marble flooring which gives a soft glow
The two downstairs ensuite bedrooms are furnished with hand - made four poster beds. The bedrooms each have front facing sets of French doors which you can throw open and walk out straight onto the large patio and lawned garden.
From the downstairs sitting room, a staircase leads to the first floor. Here is another comfortable sitting room and a kitchen area with that all important fridge so you can prepare drinks for the sunset hour.
Off the sitting room is the seventh bedroom which is again spacious and contains a king -size four poster bed. The bedroom French doors open onto the wrap-around terrace overlooking the central courtyard. The bathroom is separate.
With the french doors from the sitting room open, you walk straight onto a magnificent terrace which runs the width of the house. This is the place to sit back and enjoy the wonderful panorama – the lawn garden and beyond tantalizing views of the sea - and know you have chosen a very special house for your holiday.
The villa is very centrally positioned for the shops and restaurants of Candolim and Calangute and an extra plus point is that one of the best continental restaurants in Goa, “After Seven”, is situated approximately 5 minutes walk along the lane. If you want something more casual then there are usually two traditional shacks built every year on the beach immediately in front of the house which serve fish and Goan specialties and are great for a beach barbeque.
